The Sounds of Concord is a dynamic men's barbershop chorus based in the Boston area. Drawing singers from cities and towns throughout Eastern Massachusetts, the "Sounds" are focused on fun through musical growth and excellence, both at our weekly rehearsals in Lexington and our numerous performances throughout the area.
We are actively seeking singers in all voice parts. We have doubled our size in two years and would love to add even more singers! We're singing better and having more fun than we have in years. Come grow with us.
Come to a rehearsal and check us out!
The Sounds of Concord won the Northeastern District Patriot Division championship March 19th in East Greenwich, RI, being chosen over a group of fine choruses from Eastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island!
Our chorus director Dan Costello was named 2010 Sounds of Concord Barbershopper of the Year at our annual officer installation and awards banquet on January 24th. Dan has been a fantastic musician, motivator, team builder and culture changer from his director spot, building a strong music team and a culture of success that so far has culminated in our 2nd place finish at the Northeastern District Chorus Contest. This award is in recognition of his talents and hard work. Congratulations Dan!
