Sounds of Concord are DISTRICT CHAMPS!
The Sounds of Concord won the Northeastern District Barbershop Chorus Championship October 21 in Springfield, MA, besting fourteen other top choruses from New England and eastern New York. As a result SOC will compete at the International Chorus Contest in July in Portland, Oregon! Watch the announcement!
The Sounds of Concord
The Sounds of Concord is a dynamic men's barbershop chorus based in the Boston area. Drawing singers from cities and towns throughout Eastern Massachusetts, the "Sounds" are focused on fun through musical growth and excellence, both at our weekly rehearsals in Lexington and our numerous performances throughout the area.
We are actively seeking singers in all voice parts. We have doubled our size in two years and would love to add even more singers! We're singing better and having more fun than we have in years. Come grow with us.

Downtown Crossing wins Second Place
Our own Downtown Crossing quartet won second place at the Northeastern District Quartet Contest in October. This was their first ever district contest(!) and as a result they were also named Novice Champions.David Pierce and Mark Schuldenfrei Named Barbershoppers Of The Year
This was such a great year for us that we have TWO Barbershoppers Of The Year.
David Pierce is one of our associate directors, our baritone section leader, our quartet coordinator, and a driving force behind our continued musical improvement that culminated in our District Chorus Championship.
Mark Schuldenfrei served as our 2011 Vice President of Music and Performance. We are fortunate to have an extremely talented music team but without Mark managing our music program and keeping the team focused on our common goals our achievements in 2011 would not have been possible. He also sings a lowwwww bass!
